Odoo Audit

Not sure your Odoo is in good hands?

Get an independent second opinion from a team that has been building, migrating and supporting Odoo since 2010. You'll know exactly what you're running, what's worth fixing, and who should take it forward.

Most people who call us are asking one of three questions

01 · Second opinion
“Was this built properly?”

You've been told everything is fine, but the system feels fragile, changes take longer than they should, and nobody can explain why. You want someone with no stake in the original build to look at it honestly.

You get a documented, independent assessment — clean parts, fragile parts, and what it would cost to put right.
02 · A better partner
“Who takes this forward?”

A migration is coming, or support has quietly stopped being support. You need a partner who understands the system before they quote it — not one who discovers the hard parts halfway through and asks for more budget.

You get a migration roadmap with a realistic effort estimate, based on what's actually in your codebase.
03 · Someone to call
“What happens if it breaks?”

Odoo runs your orders, your stock, your invoicing. If it goes down on a Monday morning, you need to know somebody competent already understands your system and can act — not start reading your code for the first time.

You get a team already familiar with your setup, and a clear read on your backups, environments and rollback.

Own your server and your process

Your ERP is the heart of your business. It shouldn't sit in someone else's black box — you should know where it runs, how changes reach production, and exactly what has been built on top of it.

How we answer those questions

We go and look — properly

A company can have twenty apps installed and genuinely use five. We don't take anyone's word for the state of a system, including the previous partner's.

Your customisations

Custom modules vs Studio vs OCA, inheritance depth, dependency coupling, technical debt and deprecated APIs.

What you actually use

The flows that are load-bearing for your business — and the installed modules nobody has touched in years.

Data and configuration

Settings, localisation, chart of accounts, access rights, data shape and volume — where migration surprises hide.

Hosting and deployment

Where it runs, how changes reach production, whether there's a staging environment, and whether backups actually restore.

THE PART MOST AUDITS SKIP

Can we prove it still works?

We identify your critical flows, how each can be tested, and what coverage exists today.

That's what turns a migration from a nerve-wracking one-shot event into something we can run, test, fix and repeat — without your team re-checking everything by hand each time.

What you walk away with

A report that's yours, whatever you decide next

Use it to hold your current partner to account, to brief a new one, to budget a migration, or to sleep better. There's no obligation to work with us afterwards — an audit that only makes sense if you hire us isn't a second opinion.

On a bad day

If something goes wrong, we already know your system

The audit isn't only planning material. It's the reason we can respond to an incident with context instead of opening your codebase for the first time under pressure.

We know where it hurts

The risk register is written before the incident, not after.

We can roll back

Backups, staging and deployment checked as part of the audit.

We can prove a fix

Tests on your critical flows, so a hotfix doesn't break something else.

You're not locked in

Everything we learn is documented and handed over. No black box.

How it works

Four steps, no disruption to your team

Access and scoping

We agree scope and get read access to your codebase, a database copy and infrastructure details.

Investigation

Most of it happens on our side. We need a couple of short sessions with the people who use the system.

Findings

We produce the report and walk you through it — what we found, what it means, what we'd do about it.

Your call

Take the report to anyone you like. If you'd rather we did the work, it's scoped against real findings.

Why ERPGAP

We've spent a decade taking over Odoo systems we didn't build

Module development, complex migrations and multi-client infrastructure. We work test-first, which is exactly why our audits take testing and migration validation seriously.

We audit Odoo the way we'd want our own systems audited.

FAQ

Questions we hear most often

Still weighing it up? A 30-minute conversation usually answers it faster than a page can.

Ask us directly
Do we have to tell our current partner? −

No. Plenty of audits start confidentially. We only need read access to the code, a database copy and your infrastructure details, however you're able to provide them.

How much of our team's time does it take? +

A couple of short sessions with the people who actually use the system. The rest happens on our side, against a copy, nothing touches production.

Are we committing to a migration? +

No. The report is yours either way, use it to brief a new partner, hold your current one to account, or simply budget with real numbers.

Which Odoo versions do you audit? +

Community or Enterprise, on Odoo.sh, self-hosted or containerised. Heavily customised systems are the normal case, not the exception.

What if the findings are bad? +

Then you'll know, ranked worst first, with an estimate of what putting it right costs. That's the point, surprises are more expensive.

How is our data handled? +

Under NDA, on a copy, in an isolated environment, deleted when the audit closes. We can work against anonymised data where that's preferred. Full GDPR compliant.

How long does an audit take? +

Typically two to four weeks from access to findings, depending on how much customisation there is and how quickly we can get read access to everything.
